Rahul Gandhi's allegation, BJP and RSS control Facebook-WhatsApp in India
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi continues to be under attack on the central government.  He has now alleged that social media Facebook and WhatsApp in India are controlled by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the RSS.  He made this allegation by quoting a news report from US newspaper 'The Wall Street Journal'.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, 'BJP and RSS control Facebook and WhatsApp in India.  They spread fake news and hate through it and use it to influence voters.  After all, the American media has revealed the truth about Facebook. '
BJP hit back at Rahul
At the same time, BJP has also retaliated on this tweet by Rahul Gandhi.  Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted, "The losers who failed to impress the people of their own party are referring to the fact that the BJP and the RSS have control over the whole world."

Referring to the Cambridge Analytica case, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "You were caught red-handed in an alliance with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook to weaponize data before the election."  Prasad wrote this on Rahul's tweet and asked, 'Now you are questioning us?'
What the WallStreet Journal article says
The article, published by Rahul in The Wall Street Journal, mentions that Facebook takes exception to the hate speech and objectionable content of leaders and activists of the ruling party BJP in India.  This article also quoted a Facebook official as saying that taking action against BJP workers can have a huge impact on the social media company's business in India.  The article also raises questions about the functioning of Facebook.
