They were immediately resuscitated after seeing water rising continuously in the settlements of Colony Secunderabad, Garib Nawaz Basti and Bhisti Mohalla on Fort Maidan Road. More than a dozen families were evacuated from these areas with the help of boats and tubes. At the same time, more than 10 children were resuscitated from Gauri Nagar area. People stood in the balcony of the houses to protect themselves in the water-ridden colony. The police kept a ladder in his vehicle and came out of the window safely. At the same time, there has also been a report of a young man flowing into the drain. In Juna Risala area, people were evacuated along the sewer.
Additional Commissioner Sandeep Soni said that the condition of waterlogging in Secunderabad remains. The work of evacuating those stranded on the banks of the drain is in progress. Home Guards along with police and corporation team are evacuating people with the help of boat and tube. After the rescue, affected people are being transported to three to four places including school and Dharamshala. Their food and drink arrangements have been made here. Nallah shore where water is filling up too much. Rescue work is going on continuously there.
Collector Manish Singh said that the rains have dropped too much. There is definitely water in the lower settlements. In the Gauri Nagar area, the houses have been flooded due to excessive water flow in the river. A team of homeguards rushed to the spot to rescue him. About 50 people have been rescued and taken out. Wherever it seems that people should shift, they are being shifted to a safe place. There is a report of a young man flowing into Chandmari Ka Nala of Chandan Nagar police station area. Officers have reached the spot. The situation will be clear only after investigation.
More than 32 inches of rain so far
The city has an average rainfall of 34 inches. Whereas in the last 24 hours, more than 11 inches of rain has been received. So far, about 32 inches of water has fallen in Indair. Over 50 colonies of Indair were washed away due to the heavy rains. In more than 20 lower settlements, there is water up to the waist. The process of rain started at 4 pm which continues continuously. By 8 pm, 3 inches of rain fell in 4 hours. After this, such clouds broke that more than 8 inches of water fell by 8:30 in the morning. This is the fastest rain so far this season. Meteorologists have predicted heavy rain throughout the day on Saturday. Along with Indore, heavy rains are taking place in Saver, Mhow, Depalpur and Gautampura districts.
