Virat is constantly getting emotional, then said to Dhoni- you will always be my captain
Team India's current captain Virat Kohli is getting emotional over the retirement of former captain and fellow player Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Kohli has once again told Dhoni that you will always be my captain. Along with this, he has thanked Dhoni for his 'friendship and trust'.
In a nearly one-minute video on the BCCI's Twitter handle, Kohli said that Dhoni's retirement is one of the few moments in life when he does not have enough words to express his thoughts. Kohli said, 'Sometimes in life, words fall short and I think it is a moment. All I can say is that you will always be the person who sits on the last seat on the bus.
Despite Kohli taking over as captain in place of Dhoni, the two have a cordial relationship and both respect each other a lot. Kohli said, "We have a very good friendship and mutual understanding because we always played the same role, the same goal, which was to win the team."
He said, 'It was a pleasure playing with you, under your leadership. You have shown faith in me, for which I will always be grateful to you. I have said this before, I will say it again, you will always be my captain. Let us know that Dhoni announced the decision to retire on Instagram on Saturday. He will however continue to play for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
Virat Kohli, the current captain of Team India, passionate about the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, had said, "All cricketers have to end their journey one day but when you know someone so close and they announce this decision then You become more emotional. What you have done for the country will always be in everyone's heart.
