Bhosari police nab inter-state gang cheating businessmen; In Bhosari area, a businessman was cheated of Rs 38 lakh
Pimpri, dt. 28 (PCB) - Steel traders used to buy steel worth lakhs of rupees by showing fake company documents and cheating the traders without paying them. Bhosari police have nabbed an inter-state gang for committing crimes using such funds. The gang leader and an accomplice are still at large.
The arrested accused are Deepak Kishorilal Gujral (32, resident of Adinath Nagar, Aryan Heights, Bhosari), Vijaykumar Hariram Vishwakarma (45, resident of Flat No. 707, Bansal City, Dighi Road, Bhosari, Pune). The ringleader Harish Rajput and his accomplice Sagar Parekh are still absconding.
Parashuram Sahebrao Bhosure (age 50, resident of Alandi Road, Bhosari) has lodged a complaint at Bhosari Police Station.
According to police, the accused bought a 64-tonne 880-kg steel HR sheet worth Rs 38 lakh 15,211 from Bhosure under false pretenses and false documents. According to the complaint filed by Bhosure, the accused allegedly cheated Bhosure by not paying for the goods.
While investigating the case, the police came to know about the accused Deepak and Vijay Kumar. Police arrested the two. When questioned, the accused said that he had committed the crime along with his gang leader Harish and an accomplice Sagar.
Harish Rajput and Sagar Parekh contact steel traders through India Mart. The accused used to buy steel from the traders using the name and documents of the firm Vishwakarma Brothers named Vijay Vishwakarma and by giving a check for the next date. He then went down in front of a closed steel company, claiming that he owned it. Next they would take the steel from that place to another place for sale. The trader from whom the steel is purchased. Cheating on that trader by not giving him the next date check.
